The Hopewell Church Project | Lowndes County, Alabama

The restoration of the historic Hopewell Baptist Church receives generous grant funding from Governor Kay Ivey, the Alabama State Legislature, and the Alabama Historical Commission.

Historical research is funded by the Gilder Lehrman Center for the Study of Slavery, Resistance, and Abolition at Yale University.

The Sew Their Names Quilt Project is generously funded by grants from the Alabama State Council on the Arts, the Alabama Humanities Alliance, and the Black Belt Community Foundation.
